Reggia di Venaria, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is part of the Royal Savoy Residences, the so-called Crown of Delights of the Savoy. With its 1,048,834 admissions (data from 2017, source MIBAC), it is the sixth most visited museum in Italy and the most visited one in the metropolitan area of ​​Turin.

Built starting from the 17th century, it has been called the "Italian Versailles" for its wonderful architecture and park. Among the architects who worked on it, Amedeo di Castellamonte, Filippo Juvarra, Benedetto Alfieri who gave it some of the highest expressions of universal baroque such as Sala di Diana (designed by Amedeo di Castellamonte), Galleria Grande or Galleria di Diana and Chapel of Sant'Uberto (both by Filippo Juvarra). The Water Theater of the Fontana del Cervo welcomes visitors in the Court of Honor while the Juvarriane Stables and the Citroniera are often used for national and international exhibitions.

Among the major events hosted by the Reggia, the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy in the presence of the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano (2011); the Meeting of Ministers of Culture during the European Semester (2014); the Industry, Science and Labor G7 (2017). In 2011 and 2018 its beautiful park was the setting for the start and stage of the Giro d’Italia, while in 2019 the opening ceremony of the Cross Festival went through the splendid Diana Gallery. In 2022 it hosted the opening ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest.
